India’s largest food and FMCG brand, Amul, making headlines this IPL season with its powerful association in many categories-partnership with nine teams for its high-protein range, six teams for ice cream and three teams for beverages.

In this season, Amul Ice Cream and Amul Protein also participated with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where the team unveiled Amul’s latest innovation: the world’s first high-protein kulfi.
ITC Sonar, on 25 April 2025, was launched in a grand event in Kolkata, Amul’s high-protein Kulfi is a game-changer. Kulfi with each common-surprise provides 10 grams of protein in only 57 calories. It is packed with low-fat, lactose-free, prebiotics and probiotics (100 million CFUs), and has no additional sugar. For 60 grams of pack, at a cheaper price at 40, it will soon be available in all of Amul’s official quick-commerce partners.
Amul Managing Director, Jayen Mehta shared, “We are excited about this innovation and many more upcoming high-protein products such as parathas, sandwiches, snacks, ice cream and coffee, ensuring that every Indian gets at least 1 gram of protein body weight every day.”
Amul’s high-protein range, launched in 2022 and is particularly available at Shop.amul.com, has created a strong discussion in the fitness and nutrition market. It has India’s first plain lactose-free whey protein concentrate (WPC)-which offers 25 grams of protein per 32 grams of pouch, with no couple sweetness, color, or taste–Hocalt WPC, high-protein cheese (25% protein), high-protein dahi (25g protein per 400g), and other tribal offerings.
Designed to maximize the protein-to-calorie ratio, these products allow consumers to promote protein intake without excessive calories from carbs and fat. Functional benefits include being lactose-free, which has no additional sugar, low fat or fat-free options, and serving each under 100 calories-they suitable for extensive audiences.
