Apollo Hospitals has expanded its presence in Karnataka by opening a 200-bed multi-speciality hospital in Sheshadripuram, Bengaluru, aimed at improving care for patients with non-communicable diseases (NCDs). The new facility offers specialised treatment across cardiac sciences, neurosciences, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, and general surgery. Hospital officials said the expansion responds to the rising burden of NCDs, particularly among younger adults, with the group currently treating around 1,200 patients aged 30–40 each month.

The expansion comes at a time when the incidence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) is steadily increasing.

Apollo Hospitals has launched a new 200-bed multi-speciality hospital in Sheshadripuram, Bengaluru, marking its fourth healthcare facility in Karnataka. The hospital has been established to improve access to specialised treatment for patients affected by NCDs.

Spread across a two-acre campus, the facility will offer services in five core disciplines: cardiac sciences, neurosciences, orthopaedics, medical and surgical gastroenterology, and general and laparoscopic surgery.

Naresh Parmar, CEO of Apollo Hospitals for the Karnataka Region, said the hospital group currently treats nearly 1,200 patients every month in the 30–40 age group.

He added that the new Sheshadripuram hospital will primarily focus on addressing the growing burden of non-communicable diseases, which have witnessed a sharp rise in recent years.

Prathap C. Reddy, Founder and Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, who inaugurated the group’s first hospital in Chennai over three decades ago, said the latest expansion reflects the organisation’s response to the increasing prevalence of NCDs.
