How to Stay Protected in Rainy Season

Summary:
The rainy season is beautiful — the smell of wet earth, chai with pakodas, and cozy indoors. But let’s be real: it also brings wet shoes, surprise fevers, and umbrellas that seem to vanish right when you need them. YOU NEED A LITTLE EXTRA CARE.

Taking care in the rainy season means to staying dry, protecting your immunity, and keeping your surroundings clean. By carrying a reliable umbrella and wearing waterproof footwear to boosting your diet with warm foods, herbal tea, and vitamin-rich materials, such small lifestyle tweaks can create a good difference. Add on with proper ventilation at home, mosquito protection, mood boosting rituals, and you will be able to enjoy monsoon while being healthy and happy.

Some Simple Ways to Stay Protected in Rainy Season

1. Protect Your Feet

Rainwater is not a free spa treatment for your feet. Wet socks = fungal party.

Wear waterproof sandals/shoes, and if you should step into a pothole, wash your feet when reaching home. Your skin will thank you.

2. Upgrade Your Chai & Pakoda Game

Yes, this is the season of fried snacks. But balance it with hot soup, herbal tea, and immune-boosting spices like ginger, turmeric, and tulsi (basil)

3. Put Your Immune System on its Toes

Rain season = a playground for cold, flu and stomach bugs.

Add Vitamin C (oranges, amla, lemon water), be hydrated (yes, even if you don’t feel thirsty), and maybe now be easy on street food (this includes pani puri also).

4. Air It Out

Humidity turns your home into a mini steam room. Open windows when it’s not raining, use a fan or dehumidifier, and sun-dry clothes whenever you get a chance. In such wet weather, you might experience musty smell too.

5. Ensure NO MOSQUITOES BITES

Mosquitoes basically get a five-star resort in monsoon. Don’t make yourself their buffet.

Use repellents, cover your arms/legs in evenings, and keep water from stagnating near your house.

6. Protect your Mental Sun

You can feel sad on the rainy day. Play your favourite music, burn a candle, video call your friend, or binge watch guilt free. The monsoon blues are real, but you don’t have to drown in them.

Final Thought

Monsoon is like that moody friend — dramatic, unpredictable, but also fun if you know how to handle them. Stay dry, stay cozy, and don’t forget to romanticize the rain (from indoors preferably).
