Molbio Diagnostics, a prominent point-of-care molecular diagnostics firm, has secured ₹281 crore from anchor investors ahead of its ₹939.70 crore initial public offering (IPO), which is set to open on August 10, 2026. The anchor placement includes institutional investors such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and HDFC Asset Management Company, reflecting strong investor interest in India’s expanding healthcare and diagnostics technology market.
Established in 2000, Molbio Diagnostics is best known for its Truenat platform, which enables rapid molecular testing closer to patients and supports decentralised healthcare delivery. The company develops point-of-care diagnostic solutions for hospitals, laboratories, government healthcare programmes and other medical facilities.
The IPO consists of a fresh issue of around ₹200 crore and an offer for sale worth approximately ₹739.70 crore, bringing the overall issue size to nearly ₹939.70 crore. The equity shares have been offered within a price band of ₹768 to ₹807, with the IPO scheduled to remain open between August 10 and August 12, 2026.
Molbio has also strengthened its international footprint and operates six manufacturing facilities in India. Its diagnostic products and Truenat technology have contributed to improving access to molecular testing, particularly in locations where traditional laboratory infrastructure is limited.
The IPO arrives as India’s diagnostics sector sees growing demand for faster, decentralised and technology-driven testing solutions. Molbio’s entry into the public markets is expected to further position the company within India’s rapidly developing diagnostics and medtech landscape.
